PHOENICIA. Byblos. 'Aynel, circa 350-316/5 BC. 1/16 Shekel (Silver, 10 mm, 0.67 g, 9 h). Two hoplites, holding shields, on galley left, prow ending in lion's head; below, hippocamp left. Rev. 'YN'L MLK GBL ('Aynel, king of Gebal' in Phoenician) Lion attacking bull to left. Betlyon 21 var. (differing reverse legend). HGC 10, 139. Struck from a slightly worn obverse die and with a minor test cut on the edge, otherwise, good very fine.
